6:48:41 PM   Second generation E3Cs are black, huge improvement over white.  They've cheapened them up a bit but only time will tell if their cuts are going to be bad.  The whites kicked behind but seemed overkill a few places (ie. plug, cord length).   They've shorted the too long cord and the 90 degreee angle plug which was huge on the first generation is not a bit smaller but still seems very strong.  $200 bucks from Shure, $120 on Ebay.

6:45:33 PM   The Best  Earphones -  I am on my second set of E3Cs, first just bit the dust and are headed in for warranty service cause they are covered for 2 years.  Fingers crossed.  Once you go to sound isolating earphones, you will NEVER go back.
