From Rosenblog, emphasis is mine - "But wait. Maybe Piniella shouldn't talk to the fans through the media, after all. Because get a load of this from an early edition of the Sun-Times: "More important, we haven't played bad baseball.'' No lie. Quoted right there: "We haven't played bad baseball.'' Let's see now, the bullpen's an unreliable mess, management is sending down the wrong pitchers, nobody can hit when it matters, the baserunning would be embarrassing for T-ball, the outfield apparently had landmines that has caused players to take funny routes to the ball, and they are in last-place in the worst division in baseball. But the Cubs "haven't played bad baseball,'' the manager said. Ladies and gentlemen, I think we have our first 10 on the Stupid-O-Meter."

"this boat is sunk, kids. put it in the books. april 24." - 1060west.net the fat lady sings . I know when Fielder hit that second homer I was dumbstruck. Even with better than average starting pitching (without Big Z) they still find a way to lose day in and day out. Where did I hear it ? Cedeno has as many home runs than D. Lee, Soriano and Cliff Floyd combined. Heck Carlos as more home runs than the $300 man.
