Yesterday evening in the Chisox miserable loss, the highlight ?  Josh Fields homered in his first big league at bat - The best quote from mlb.com - "The rookie also proved once again to be infinitely coachable, following Guillen's pre-at-bat instructions to go out and hit a home run in his ninth-inning pinch-hit appearance." His stats will never again look this good.

Stepping back a few weeks, Nude Hippo's Raw Footage of Steve & Garry Reunited

There are some balls flying out of the cell (errr, Comiskey) this evening.  Yes !

Oh, watching the Loop video and Bruce is on too.  Wow a serious blast form the past.  Best Bruce link I could find is here where apparently just this week he is now with channel 5 after getting whacked by 32 earlier this year.

A note here, all the worthless media sites in this town have let all the links to these guys just scroll away into the ether.  It takes a local blog to get this kind of info.  This is a sign..... kiss all these goodbye, why on earth does anyone need a newspaper any more ? if not for links just a few months ago ? it won't be long and we will just go to the blogs.  Forget old media.

Remember, Steve and Garry, scumbag, worm meat, idiottttttsss.  The tune just sticks in my head.  Maybe I can find this on the tube.

" To stave off retirement, pay some lingering bills and grab some glory at least one more time, a portly, paralyzed 64-year-old man slid Tuesday morning on a specially designed cycle across a wire about 100 feet over the Chicago River near the Merchandise Mart." - Mario Wallenda today at the mart, articlepics , video can be found but I can't find a direct link at the moment, found, here is Loop's video, warning, don't tell Firefox to let the Trib site put up popups or you will be hammered with them constantly.

This little stunt had Johnny B. getting the most pub he's seen in years.  And man you should see him without the hat.  No one I work with who was looking out the windows at the Mart (rather than work) knew who Johnny Brandmeier is.  What is the world coming to that no one knows Johnny B.

And more, as I was watching Ronnie Woo Woo pregame hijinks and walking in front of the Mart about an hour before showtime, I bumped into one Mr. Garry Meier.  No one seemed to know who Garry is either ? He looked fantastic and was very friendly when I said hello.  Just hanging around watching the stunt as we all were.   Johnny B. and Garry in one morning at work, go figure.

"I have literally never seen such a useless MP3 player." - Joel on the LG Sprint phone which they thought he might like.  Not a chance.

I just love when an engineer picks apart a product designed and marketed by morons.  If just one of them somewhere at Sprint actually ate the dog food, they'd know it makes zero sense to send a piece of garbage phone to an engineering user.  Imagine being lucky enough to multiply the mistake of a poorly engineered product by sending them to people who will blog about them accurately.  This couldn't happen to a finer bunch of knuckleheads than Sprint.

I remember our last new Sprint phone which has a camera in it. Only cameraphone to ever enter the home here.  Why would one want a phone in the camera ? Well it turns out a couple special times Sheri would take a picture when we didn't have a camera around.  Of those few there are 2 or 3 which are keepers.  So the question becomes how do you get them off the phone ? USB interface ?  just email it to yourself ? not a chance.  Only way is to pay Sprint $15 a month to get "Vision" service and then you can send them to yourself using their network.  So, I think there was 2-3 pics at $15.  That's about $5 a picture and then we'll never send them another cent.   Imagine shipping a piece of junk piece of hardware then trying to collect $15 a month to allow me to use it.   Only bigger mistake they could make is asking me to blog about it.
