Windows Media Player is shit. I recently for some crazy reason updated the WMP on this Windows XP machine. Some piece of baseball audio desperately wanted it. Now, I just wanted to use it to try to play back a movie which was making VLC very unhappy. Seems simple enough, start WMP, open the file, play it.
Yeah right, the Plays For Sure idiots at Microsoft have tanked what was a poor product into something completely useless. I can't start it up, choose file | open and play back a video. I can't figure out how to do this ? I'm a software engineer, I use software damn near every freakin' minute of my life and I can't after 15 minutes make this piece of garbage work. There are buttons to Burn, Rip, Sync.... I don't want to do this, I want it to do what Windows Media Player used to do. Forget ripping, if I want to rip music I sure as heck ain't using WMP to do it. Arrrrgggggghhhhh. Software sucks.
